Solution: 

RO concentrated mother liquor is given priority with salt and COD. The salt concentration is about 3% ~ 8%, there are two main treatment ways-1: low concentration of small volume into IVECDEST vacuum evaporator and extract more than 90% pure distilled water and the remaining trace concentrate as waste treatment. 2: The high concentration of mother liquor can enter the VESALT scraper low temperature vacuum drying crystallization system, remove the inorganic salts, heavy metals and COD contained in the waste liquid, and finally obtain dry solid crystal salt, the moisture content of solid crystal salt is ≤15%. The clear and transparent distillate can be reused as water or treated to discharge standards.

Reverse osmosis (RO) is a widely used technology to obtain softened water for some industrial processes, such as reverse osmosis membrane (RO), ultrafiltration (UF) and desalination (SWRO) membrane technology will produce DTRO membrane after fully recycled wastewater, a high concentration of the remaining mother liquor evaporation process for processing.


In our zero wastewater production and Application center, Greenlan has been developing innovative technologies that significantly improve the quality of distilled water for many years. Our recommendation is clear: there are 2 disposal options for this RO concentrated mother liquor:


Solution 1:

IVECDEST heat pump evaporator:the equipment is one of the main features of its enrichment capability, until in the form of salt supersaturated liquid discharge. This ensures lower extraction costs and the highest efficiency in the whole process.


Solution 2:

VESALT S-HP scraper low-temperature vacuum drying crystallizer: the equipment is "one pace reaches the designated position". RO mother liquor can be directly processed to dry solid crystal, so as to complete the whole work cycle, minimize residue and save a lot of cost.

Concentrated solution:

RO concentrated mother liquor into IVECDEST low temperature vacuum evaporator, under vacuum low temperature conditions to evaporate, water vapor condensate to form distilled water, collected to the water storage tank; The remaining trace waste is treated as the next hazardous waste. It can greatly reduce or even remove harmful chemicals and heavy metals contained in the waste liquid. Through the IVECDEST evaporator, the amount of wastewater can be reduced by more than 90%, and the distillate can be reused or further treated to meet the water or discharge standards.

Crystallization solution:

RO concentrated mother liquid directly into VESALT scraper crystallizer, low-temperature vacuum drying in vacuum evaporation, can greatly reduce, eliminate waste liquid containing inorganic salt, heavy metal and COD, and eventually get dry solid crystal, solid crystal salt, moisture content can be up to 15%. The water vapor produced by evaporation condenses to form distilled water in the vacuum process and is collected in the clean water bucket. The evaporation rate of the equipment can reach more than 98%, the water quality is clear and transparent, and the distillate can be reused or further processed to meet the emission standards.
